Where I'm from: Sometimes it's the accent. Sometimes it's my choice of words or my social security number that clues people into the fact that I wasn't born and raised in Akron, Ohio. I was born in Deerwood, Minnesota. We also lived in Florida and Washington for a short time. I mostly grew up in Oregon and California. We moved around so much for Daddy's career opportunities. I met my husband in California where he was stationed with the USMC. After we were married, we moved back to his hometown of Akron, Ohio.
Kids: 3 (Girl 1998, Boy 2004, Girl 2006)
How did I get started with this madness? As a mother of 3, I was rarely leaving the house for anything but going to the market or church. Roller derby is my chance to get out of the house and have "big girl fun!" I first saw the Rubber City Rollergirls in the Welcome Santa Parade in downtown Akron.
Favorite position to play: I just like to play roller derby!
Favorite thing to do at practice: Succeed in perfecting a skill I've been working on f o r e v e r!
